Yes, some of the ideas comes from men, but the power behind the vision  and much of the labour comes from women! Some of  the women front and centre (shown with their canine assistants) are
PNINA: Events and Marketing

Pnina didn’t grow up anywhere near a farm and spent most of her years in big cities surrounded by buildings and people, but these days you’ll find her mulling about the flower gardens. While she still has her home base in Toronto, she now splits her time between city life and farm life, getting her hands dirty in the fields. She has a passion for food, fitness and outdoor activities and is eager to bring lots of life to the farm.

Pnina is the event coordinator at Five Haystacks and takes the lead in helping to plan vents that take place at the farm! Any ideas, big or small, usual or unusual, she is sure to help pull together a unique event in the fields.

ILSE: Landscaping & Design
As a child, Ilse really enjoyed playing in the dirt. Many, many years later, not much has changed. With work experience in administration, librarianship, desktop publishing, research and design, she continues to take on some landscaping projects for corporate clients and tries to keep the farm property she calls home looking inviting to visitors and bnb guests.

At FiveHaystacks Farm Ilse is involved in general planning and visioning, event creation, photography/design, and gardening (still playing in the dirt). One of Ilse’s special projects is a meditation garden that will occupy the westernmost section of the farm.

ANGELA: Media & Advertising
Bats and frogs and snakes...oh my! You may catch a glimpse of Angela looking for any of those creatures in the fields along with her 3 kids and furry companions. Most of her days are filled with office obligations just around the corner at the plaza in the village, but she loves to spend time in the fields; smelling the flowers, participating in one of the fitness classes, or helping with the events and accommodating the attendees.

If you see her about, be sure to stop to say hello as she is always eager to share a smile and conversation.
